Where is it?

The Draga Scout house is situated near Triest (ITA) in the proximities of the village of Bazovica - Basovizza, not far away from the border to Slovenija between Lipica and Kozina. The house lies in a picturesque natural background and the site is naturalistically extremely interesting. The vegetation and terrain is typically Charst while the famous valley of the river Glinšcica lies not far away. The railway station Hrpelje-Kozina (SLO) and the highway exit Kozina (SLO) on the main highway Ljubljana-Koper are only three kilometers from the Scout house. In case you are coming from Slovenija, you have to bring the passport to cross the border to Italy. Otherwise you are coming from Italy, the best way is to take the highway and to exit at Padrice (Padriciano).

What does the Scout house offer?

The Scout house has seventy beds in seven rooms. The house is also furnished with a big dining room, an equipped kitchen (a gas kitchen-range with a stove, the fridge and complete tableware), sanitation, washbasins and showers. In front of the house there is a yard (for the parking place or for bigger assemblies) with a high iron flag mast. Furthermore, the house has small covered backyard surrounded by a wall which is suitable for activities in case of bad weather. Moreover, nearby the house is located a meadow for little scout camps with a suitable fire-place. The house is equipped with a boiler for hot water and a central heating system for warming up all the rooms.

Whom is the Scout house meant for?

The Scout house in Draga is meant for scout camps, for meetings of various lengths (from a few days to weeks). Scout groups have precedence, however also other groups are welcomed.
